Profesor Maia
I discovered Capoeira in 1988, during the slaves abolition celebration that took place in my school. We were working to perform a presentation, but I didn't join a Capoeira school until 1991, when a friend, Contra-Mestre Ribinhas (who was starting to teach at Santos), invited me. After studying Capoeira for 12 years, I graduated as Professor of Capoeira.
In 1996 I started to teach children with the help of a friend, Professor Julio Cesar. That year we also formed the Nação Zumbí Capoeira Angola Group.
Born in Santos, he follows the lineage of Mestre Sombra's Capoeira Senzala de Santos association up to date.
He coordinates the Madrid and Roma stages. Nowadays he is starting a new project in Kiel (Germany).
